Welcome to the Starving Writer!

We hope this is one of many visits to our website. Our purpose is to provide writers with inspiration, support and community to become published authors.

Due to personal and family illness, we here at the Starving Writer have not completed several of our projects. For this we apologized. We are working diligently to deliver the Starving Writer Review, the monthly newsletter, anthology and chapbook selections and contest winners.

  • The Starving Writer Review will be a double issue published by mid-September. For our subscribers inconvenience we will lengthen all subscriptions.
  • The Monthly Newsletter will be jammed packed with articles, interviews, tips and markets listings. It will be available by September 3rd.
  •  Writers who submitted to the anthology will be notified by August 31st.
  •  Writers who submitted to the Poetry Chapbook contest will be notified by August 23rd.
  • Contest entrants from the Quarter 2 contest (Deadline 05/15) will be notified of winners and receive their critiques by August 25th.
